Horse breeds are grouped into several main groups
There are more than 200 breeds of horses bred for a variety of purposes. They differ in type, exterior, body size, performance.
In foreign powers, along with thoroughbred horse, bred Polish horse, Andalusian (Spanish) horse, American horse and many others.
The greatest distribution in modern Russia received such horses as Akhal-Teke, Arab, thoroughbred horse, don, Budennovskiy, trakenenskaya, Ukrainian riding horse, Tersk, Kabardians, Caribbean, Orlov trotters, Russian trotters, draught Latvian, Russian, Soviet and Vladimir heavy truck.

The role of horses in human life
It is difficult to overestimate the importance of horses in the development of human society over the past 5,000 years
In human life, it played a more important role than any other domesticated animal. Shortly after the domestication revealed the true nature of the horse – it has become indispensable in the field, in transport, in war. Previously, horses had to work not only on land but also under the ground. It was usually a pony.
In England alone, there were nearly 16,000 of these trouble-free workers. About 3000 hours a year dragged a small horse heavily loaded trolley, carrying up to 3000 tons per year and overcoming almost 5000 km. For this work, they preferred to use small Shetland island ponies, because they could carry cargo 20 times more than their own weight. Continue reading

Alaman-Baiga (in Uzbekistan “Alaman-Poig”)
One of the oldest and most popular equestrian sports among the Kazakhs and Uzbeks. For the Kazakhs, this is a jump over rough terrain over a long distance (about 50 km.) In which the rider’s tactical skill plays the most important role. Uzbeks have a jump across the steppe to a certain place and back.
Stall
Equestrian game in which you need to jump up on horses (you can bareback) and take free stalls at the opposite end of the area (playpen). Stalls are made of poles attached at one end to a fence or wall.Participants of the game should be one more than the stall. The one who takes the last of the remaining wins, because after each capture, the participant with nothing left the game and one stall is removed. Continue reading
